My favorite hidden gems, local farms, and coastal spots for your next family session.
If you’ve been Googling where to take the best family photos in Southern NH (probably between loading the dishwasher and chasing a toddler—I see you), let me make it easy for you! Whether you’re planning a rare all-the-kids-together moment, or just craving updated photos before another year flies by, these spots across Southern NH are tried-and-true favorites for beautiful, authentic family portraits.
As a photographer who’s also a mom, I totally get how chaotic and wonderful family photo time can be. These locations are not only scenic—they’re flexible, fun, and give kids space to just be themselves (because let’s be real… that’s where the magic happens 💛).

Beaver Brook Association – Hollis, NH
One of my all-time favorites. With meadows, pine-covered trails, and wildflowers galore, this spot has that peaceful New England magic—especially in the fall. There’s room for littles to explore and for big families to spread out naturally.

Benson Park – Hudson, NH
A go-to location for a reason—ponds, wooded paths, charming old stone buildings—it’s basically a choose-your-own-adventure kind of spot. And it photographs so beautifully in every season.
Wason Pond – Chester, NH
Low-key and lovely. This place has gentle trails and a gorgeous pond that reflects those golden tones in the evening. It’s one of those “let’s take a walk and capture the moments along the way” kind of places.
Mine Falls Park – Nashua, NH
Forest? Check. River views? Check. Lots of space to breathe and let the kids run? Check. This park feels tucked away but is super convenient.
Lake Massabesic – Auburn, NH
This is for my lake lovers. Think breezy views, wooded trails, and tall grass catching the light just right. It’s calm, clean, and a dream at golden hour.
Sunnycrest Farm – Londonderry, NH
Ahhh, the apple blossoms. In spring, this place is honestly magical. And in fall? Rows of apple trees and pumpkins for days. If you love that classic orchard look (or want your kids picking fruit in overalls 😍), this is the place.

Elwood Orchards – Londonderry, NH
Pumpkins, apples, AND a giant corn maze? Yes, please. This farm has so much personality, especially in the fall. I love photographing families here when the leaves are showing off.

Woodmont Orchard – Hollis, NH
Rows of trees, soft sunset light, and the dreamiest golden tones in fall. It’s like stepping into a postcard.
Coppal House Farm – Lee, NH
Sunflowers for days 🌻 Seriously though—if you want something fun and colorful that the kids can run through, this is such a playful spot.

Salisbury Beach, MA (featured above)
Yes, it’s technically across the border—but it’s so worth the short drive. Soft sand, rock jetties, and golden sunsets make this a dreamy spot for relaxed, barefoot family photos.
Rye Beach, NH
Whether you’re playing on the sand at Jenness Beach or walking the rocky paths at Odiorne Point, Rye gives you a little bit of everything coastal. Pack the neutrals and let the ocean do the rest.
Great Island Common – New Castle, NH
If you love the idea of beach grass + lighthouse vibes, this is your place. It’s coastal New England perfection.

Prescott Park – Portsmouth, NH
If you’re feeling a little fancy or want those garden vibes with waterfront views, this park is a gem. Bonus: it’s walkable to the cutest downtown for an ice cream stop after.

Robert Frost Farm – Derry, NH
Right in my own town and full of history, open space, and those quintessential New England views. Stone walls, tall trees, and quiet paths—it’s classic and calm, perfect for any season.
Twin Bridges Park – Nashua, NH
Super family-friendly and great for littles who need to move! Playground meets forest—great for more candid, in-the-moment types of sessions.
I love photographing families, especially big, busy ones (maybe because I come from a big family myself and totally get the joyful chaos!). Once you book, you’ll get access to my Family Welcome Guide and Pinterest Style Board with outfit inspiration, prep tips, and everything you need to feel confident and excited.
